The City of Paris offers scholarships to foreign researchers, in priority young doctors (less than 5 years after the PhD).
Senior researchers applications can also be considered. All fields are eligible. The selection is based on scientific excellence.
Covered period:

* junior applicants: 3 to 11 months (arrival date between September 2008 and February 2009)
* senior: 2 to 6 months

The programme includes:

* 2500a/month for junior, 3000a/month for senior,
* transportation fees to France and back,
* medical insurance,
* accomodation assistance.

Eligibility conditions Retour a la table des matieres

* apply for a public research laboratory in Paris,
* have a non-French nationality,
* be affiliated to a structure in the foreign country, live and work there.

Not eligible:

* applicants already working in France,
* applicants who already received a City of Paris scholarship or a Fernand Braudel scholarships in the previous years,
* French research teams who received a laureate in the 2007 scheme.

The proposal has to be written in French, 10 pages max.:

* the general administrative information form (attached file),
* Curriculum vitae, one page,
* a certificate of PhD,
* a half page describing the original institution and recent publications on the proposal subject,
* a half page describing the host institution and recent publications on the proposal subject,
* a certificate of the host institution,
* summary of scientific proposal with short list of references, 2 pages,
* a half page explaining the relevance and scientific value for Paris and the perspectives of cooperation between host and original laboratories.
